Absolutely Fabulous – Gay

Having scored in the London Fashion Week, Eddy and Patsy feel they are ready to conquer New York. Patsy has a new fashion store for women that have faces that have been reworked so much that they can’t even see anymore what they’re buying and this should get her her seat in the champagne bar. Meanwhile Eddy is looking forward to meeting her son who’s moved to New York but she first has to find his address and the gay woman Goldie is the only one who can help her and she doesn’t want to give any information if there hasn’t been a marriage.

Sound and Vision:
There’s some minor grain, aliasing and compression errors to be seen but overall the quality is decent with good contrast, sharp image, natural colors and solid amount of black.

The Dolby 2.0 track has good speading of stero, has very understandable dialogues and sounds warm and natural. Good enough for a TV series like these.

Extras:
Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley start off the extras with an audio commentary track after which you can check out a foto gallery. Finally there’s also some deleted scenes, but overall the extras are a bit thin.

Conclusion:
Absolutely Fabulous was a great series and people who enjoyed it will definitely dig this extra long episode. Warner delivers a dvd with little extras but reasonable image and sound quality. For the fans.

Our Score:
6.0
