Alien vs. Predator 2: Requiem
After the predators defeated the aliens in Alien vs Predator, they return home with their space ship. However, one of the predators has been infected and little later their ship gets overrun by new aliens and crashes back on earth near a small town in the US. While teenagers are trying to fool around a bit, aliens and a mutated predator/alien are steadily invading the town, killing everyone that moves.
Luckily, one of the last predators on the ship managed to send out a rescue message to his home planet before he died so another predator decides to kick ass and chew bubblegum so he heads off to Earth to get rid of the aliens once and for all. The humans that run in the way be damned!
Sound and Vision:
We get good image quality with plenty of detail except in certain dark scenes where it’s hard to follow what’s going on. The contract in those could have used some work. Compression errors are down to a minimum and for the rest there’s little to complain about.
The soundtrack does a good job with good use of the surround speakers and subwoofer which makes you feel like being in the center of the action.

Alien Vs. Predators: Requiem continues the path laid out after the first AvP and manages to be even more boring and ridiculous than the first one. Fox should bury both the Alien and Predator series until they find a way to resurrect them to their original quality. The storyline is simplistic, the acting average at best and the action doesn’t manage to make things better. In fact, there’s absolutely no reason what so ever to check out this movie as it will only disappoint you in every way.
The Alien series was great, the first Predator movie was fun, but it’s clear the stretch is out both series and one should let both die before it gets sad. But maybe it’s gone too far already…
