Closer Season 3, The
Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson is back in this third season of The Closer where she has to run the Priority Homicide Division of the LAPD through yet another bunch of interesting cases. This season her main concerns, however, are to keep her team together while the department is undergoing budget cuts and trying to keep her relationship with Fritz going while having to face such difficulties as looking for a new home and having Fritz meet her parents.
Sound and Vision:
Nothing much to say here. Image and sound are as you would expect. Nothing special but nothing that spoils the fun either.
Extras:
– Police files: Deleted Scenes
– Short movie: The Art of Interrogation
– Bloopers
Conclusion:
This third season of The Closer continues in the lines drawn out by the first two seasons but the level of comedy seems to have risen a bit which doesn’t do the show much good. Next to that we also get more focus on the personal life of the Deputy Chief and again I must admit this isn’t a good thing as it’s quite boring. Her relationship with her parents, the difficulties she has with change concerning her life with Fritz, … it all seems a bit far fetched and rather over the top.
Still, people who enjoyed the previous two seasons will probably still like this one. Season 4 on the other hand better have something good to bring a breath of fresh air through the series.
