Deus Ex: Human Revolution goes to the movies

CBS Films today announced they have secured the rights to make a movie based on the top-selling sequel Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Terry Press, Co-President of CBS Films is already very excited about the matter:

“As is clear from the wild success of the game, Square Enix and Eidos-Montréal know how to exceed their audience’s expectations by engineering incredible worlds,”

“No one knows Human Revolution like the team that created it and we look forward to working with them from day one to make a film adaptation worthy of the Deus Ex name.”

And of course Square Enix couldn’t be happier themselves either. From the mouth of Phil Rogers, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix Europe:

“We’re firm believers in building strong partnerships and so we’re thrilled to be working with CBS Films on bringing the unique Deus Ex experience to the big screen.”

CBS Films previous releases include The Woman in Black (with Daniel Radcliffe) and Faster (which featured Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson).

Roy Lee (The Departed) and Adrian Askarieh are attached to produce and John P. Middleton will serve as Executive Producer.
