Doghouse – 2-Disc SE
Vince has gone through a bad divorce and he’s majorly depressed but his friends aren’t going to let him be like that for long. Having issues with women themselves, they’ve decided it’s time for a man’s weekend out and there’s no better place for that than the village of Moodley where women outbalance men by a ratio of 4 to 1. Or at least, so they thought. Upon arrival they find out that some weird virus has transformed all the women into psychotic zombies that prefer to do nothing other than slash men to pieces…
Sound and Vision:
The image on this DVD is quite decent but nothing special. The amount of detail is average and certain scenes look a bit on the soft side. However, seeing that this is a low budget release, we can’t really blame the makers for that. Compression errors are almost completely absent so that’s a good thing.
The soundtrack does things very nice with a very active track that makes good use of the surround speakers and subwoofer to give you a very vivid experience.

A very standard pack of extras, just what you expect from a release like this.
Doghouse is a low budget horror movie that threads a bit the path laid out by Shaun of the Dead. We get to see menslaying women zombies and a small pack of women-hating men who finally get their wet dreams fulfilled in a real “battle of the sexes”. As you can imagine, things aren’t to be taken too seriously and if you can get into that state of mind, Doghouse is actually pretty funny to watch. Just about every cliché is taken from the book, but there’s a couple of good jokes present that will most definitely put a smile on your face and overall we can only say that Doghouse is definitely a movie you’ll want to check out. If you like this genre.
If comic horror isn’t your thing, you really don’t want to get this one, but I guess you probably already guessed that from the lines above.
