The v1.0.272.0 patch contains a number of performance improvements (zoom/rotation switching faster; simulation and frame rates faster for many cities due to bug fixes and improvements to traffic simulation; better memory cache handling; default detail settings made more conservative; 3 new graphics options added); plus a number of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.
