Movie:
After the current pope dies, Robert Langdon is summoned to the Vatican. It seems that an illuster group called The Illuminate have kidnapped the four preferiti that are next in line to become pope and hid a bomb somewhere in the city. Their goal: to overthrow the Catholic Church.

Langdon quickly finds out that the texts sent to announce the kidnapping and the imminent death of the preferiti contain hidden clues regarding where the victims will be killed. Together with Italian scientist Vittoria Vetra Robert goes out to follow the clues laid out in order to stop the deaths of the preferiti and get to the bomb before it explodes.
 
Sound and Vision:
We get sharp images with bright and warm colors while the contrast is perfect and the amount of detail high. Nothing to complain regarding the image quality and we can say the same about the sound which has a mild emphasis towards the front speakers but brings forth plenty of ambiance and music from the rear.

We didn't get the second disc as we only got a review mold. Disc 2 is supposed to have following extras:

Conclusion:
Angels & Demons is the second movie based on a book by Dan Brown. Although The Da Vinci Code is the successor to this one in writing, the order is switched around for the movies but it doesn't disturb in any way. The makers have done an excellent job in putting links towards The Da Vinci Code so that the viewer gets the idea they're indeed seeing a sequel.

The pace of the movie is a lot faster than the previous one and instead of a religious thriller we this time get something that more resembles an adventure movie with a clearly laid out goal and path to follow. This has as side effect that the plot twists aren't really that unexpectable and things go a bit less deep but for the average viewer it will remain entertaining nonetheless.

This Blu-ray comes with excellent image and sound quality and the extras seem to be a decent package for those that are into that (although we can't be sure as we didn't get the second disc).
