EA has a new prez!
Electronic Arts has announced that at the end of this month (actually, March 30th), CEO John Riccitiello will step down as CEO.
A seperate announcement from the publisher states that earnings per share as well as revenue will be “at the low end or below its January guidance”. Hmmm, why will Riccitiello step down? We wonder…
Anyway, EA has appointed old familiar Larry Probst as executive chairman of the company until a permanent replacement for Riccitiello has been found. Probst used to be CEO at EA between 1991 until 2007.
Good news and a move towards less micropayment-oriented gaming again? Remains to be seen!
