Furious 4 still in the works

Speaking with CVG, Gearbox’ Randy Pitchford has reassured the world that despite rumours that were floating around, Brothers in Arms Furious 4 hasn’t been cancelled by Ubisoft.

According to the man, the game is going great, but is currently in a state of evolution that will most definitely surprise people:

“I’m looking forward to being able to talk about Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 soon,”

“The game has evolved, I think people are going to be surprised by what they’ll see, and it’s still evolving. One of the reasons why we’re not talking about it now is that it’s evolving and we need to make further changes before we can start talking about it.”

Pitchford also noted that we shouldn’t expect much news about the game anytime soon, possibly after Borderlands 2 is released in September. One thing’s for sure though: the next Brothers in Arms won’t be out this year. After Borderlands 2, Gearbox will be releasing Aliens: Colonial Marines which is scheduled for February next year already:

“Borderlands 2 ships in September, so we’re spending most of our time talking about that, and Aliens Colonial Marines comes out after that in February.

“I might come around to talk about Furious Four between the releases of Borderlands 2 and Aliens: Colonial Marines, but certainly I won’t before the release of Borderlands 2.”
