Eschaton

Eschaton is an online space simulation and team action strategy game. It bridges the gap between regular massively multiplayer persistent worlds and traditional single and multi player games. Eschaton integrates several different genres and types of gameplay. It can be played as an online team-oriented space RTS, where you can play in short sessions, joining battles involving anywhere from a handful of players to thousands. These battles could be individual unconnected events, or they could be small parts of a vast ongoing war in a large persistent world with tens of thousands of players. Players who are more interested in the role-playing aspects of the game can create and develop a character in an online universe and carve out their destiny. Each player's choice of career, whether it be miner, explorer, trader, pirate, bounty hunter, or soldier, will lead to a different gameplay experience within the context of a dynamic virtual universe. Successful players will be able to advance into positions of true power as leaders of factions and nations, directing political, economic, and military strategy.
