House

Roger Cobb is a vietnam veteran who made a second career as horror writer. When his son disappears when visiting his aunt’s house, Roger freaks out, looses his wife and his career goes downhill. When his aunt dies, Roger inherits the house and he decides to move in and try to write a new book. Soon after having moved, however, Roger finds that there’s more to the house than he had expected…

Sound and Vision:
The image contains some minor compression errors, grain and film spots but nothing really dramatic. Overall we can say that the transfer to DVD has been done nicely.

The 5.1 track is remastered but is hardly good. The surround channels are hardly used and the effects are put wrongly. The 2.0 track is the original one and sad to say this one is much better than the 5.1 surround one.

Extras:
Trailers

Conclusion:
House is a funny horror comedy but you’ll instantly notice that the special effects are no longer of this time. Fans of the slasher genre will definitely like this one

Our Score:
5.0
