New Army of Two announced
Electronic Arts has announced that Visceral Games is working on the third installment in the Army of Two series, called Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel.
The game will be released March next year on PS3 and X360, is powered by the Frostbite 2 engine and will be set in Mexico. Both online and split-screen co-op will be present and there will also be a more advanced upgrade and customization system, allowing players to customize Alpha and Bravo.
Executive producer Julian Beak had the following to say:
“We wanted to refresh the Army of Two franchise for a new generation of action gamers, and at the same time, stay true to the core concept that really made the first two games fan favorites,”
“With meaningful, seamless co-op gameplay at its core and explosive new tag-team features, gamers will have to work together tactically and strategically as they push through a city dominated by one of Mexico’s deadliest drug cartels.”
The game will be on the cover of Game Informer Magazine’s September issue and they’ve already released a trailer to promote it, including a first glimpse of gameplay footage:
