£1 000 000 worth of pirated video games found
The ELSPA (Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association) has sent word stating that they have succesfully completed an big anti-piracy operation in Staffordshire (Engeland) the previous 2 weekends.
In total, they confiscated counterfeit games with a streetvalue of over one million pounds (US$1,750,141 or €1,420,400) along with other software.
And apparently the inspectors who worked in cooperation with the local police had their bit of fun:

...The authorities then raided the market again, resulting in the discovery of three stalls selling counterfeit product. The vendors fled the market, leaving behind 37,000 games, music and film discs.
Whilst assessing the goods an ELSPA investigator was assaulted by an individual who was trying to loot one of the stalls. The assailant was arrested on location. Members of the team also had their vehicles' tyres slashed.
A good thing that they catch those arseholes who run a profit whilst doing shit for the gamesindustry.
