10Tacle Studios signs Codename Panzers II
After Codename Panzers: Phase One and the stand-alone expansion Phase Two there is now more news about the true sequel of this WWII rts franchise.
CDV has been replaced with 10Tacle Studios as publisher. Stormregion still acts as the developer. Not a lot of news about the game itself is known other than that it will be released in 2008 (on PC and maybe even other platforms) and that it won't feature the WWII theme anymore. The change of the successful brand is thanks to Marc Küpper, Business Development Manager at 10TACLE STUDIOS AG: "We want to have great variety for our portfolio for the years to come. Right on top of our list was a real-time strategy game with the potential to become a huge commercial success." For Michele Pes, CEO of 10TACLE STUDIOS, it is of utmost importance that the brand also be optimally brought to the market on an international level: "During the negotiations we were able to convince Stormregion, not merely due to our solid financial power but in particular thanks to our excellent connections and our access to international key players. Thus we are capable of providing the development team with an optimal platform which makes it possible for them to focus upon their core competencies and to get promoted into the Premier League together with 10TACLE."
