20 GB PS3 not longer available in US
Sony stops the production of the 20GB PS3 in the US. The obvious reason is the little demand for it.
The 20 GB version is a bit cheaper, but offers you of course less storage than the more successful 60GB version.
Sony states the consumer is willing to pay some more money for the 60GB version, according to the fact this PS3 takes about 90% of the demand. The US consumers who already have a 20GB PS3 can still count on Sony for support.
However, in Japan they are not planning to take the 20GB PS3 off the market:
In Europe, there were no plans for a 20GB version and after this news, it looks like there won't be one in the future too.
