2003 : A Look at the Future

With 2002 ending, it's normal that we take a look at what's coming up next year.
I've taken the liberty to check out our Release Tracker which features up-to-date information on game release dates and find out for you which possibly interesting titles will be released the first three months of next year.
Here we go :

January :
SimCity 4 will probably be the biggest title coming out in the beginning of next year for the PC, but Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, The Sims Online and Project Entropia will make nice sidekicks.

Consoles are pretty quiet the first month of the year with only Battle Engine Aquila (XBox and PS2), Fireblade (GC and XBox) and Blood Omen 2 (GC) being of any interest

February :
The second month of the new year looks very promising with major titles appearing on all platforms.
On the PC, most attention will probably go to Unreal 2: The Awakening, but Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness (also PS2), Battlefield 1942: Road to Rome, Command & Conquer Generals, IGI 2: Cover Strike and Tom Clancy's Rainbox Six: Raven Shield will not pass unnoticed.

In console land we also see some major titles appearing with Star Wars: The Clone Wars (PS2), Star Wars: Bounty Hunter (GC), Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (all platforms), and Dark Angel (XBox and PS2).

March :
A load of new titles but hardly any big one's will appear in March except for Star Trek: Elite Force 2 for PC.
Console titles that may be of interest : Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter (all platforms), XIII (all platforms), Vexx (all platforms) and Metroid Prime (GC)

Voila, these are a couple of the hot titles which you can expect the coming three months. At least, if none of the publishers decide to alter the release dates ;)

For a full overview of what's coming, I suggest you take a look at our handy release tracker which contains correct release dates of over 600 game titles, scattered over 4 platforms.

I think The Sims Online will be more than a sidekick ... wether or not that's a good thing ;)

Fred : as a lover for FPS games, I would agree with you. On the other hand, FPS games and Tactical shooters in specific will never equal the appeal a game like SimCity 4 will have :)
Don't forget those millions of women who are just waiting for that game to be released ;)
