25 best and worst wrestling games
MyGamer has taken the time to dig deep into the game archives and make a list of the 25 best and worst wrestling games
WCW Nitro (Sony PlayStation/PC - 1998/99) - A leading candidate for the "Worst Game Ever" award. This game is the lowest moment in THQ's history. They completely strayed from the game engine they established in WCW vs The World, and instead used an engine that emphasized tapping buttons in a certain order. This move from the tried-and-true method of pressure-sensitive controls would backfire on THQ, and Nitro was rightly crushed by reviewers. The scratchy, mediocre graphics didn't help matters. The game did include a unique "rant" option at the character selection screen. Pressing O would allow you to see a brief FMV for each wrestler, with the charismatic Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Booker T, and Ric Flair giving Nitro some much needed highlights with their humorous and, in Flair's case, energetic promos.
Anyone still playing wrestling games these days ?In other news:
