2K Games removes BioShock copy protection
BioShock was a great game but the PC version featured a now already infamous SecuROM copy protection; a combination of online activation and limited installs for people who actually bought the game.
2K Games must have seen these problems as well so now they are removing the installation limits of this DRM scheme. The best part is that you don't even need a patch for this, it's all on their part apparently.
From 2K Elizabeth, the community manager:
This should have been done sooner but better late than never of course. Hopefully EA follows this example in time as well with the likewise copy protection for Mass Effect, which is becoming a bit of a disgrace for honest users because of the install limits.

Good news! As promised, all activation restrictions, including install limits, have been removed from BioShock PC as of today. You don’t have to patch or install anything for this to go into effect for your copy of BioShock – it’s already done!
Enjoy your time in Rapture, and thank you for supporting BioShock and the 2K teams.
So, time to play/buy the game then? ;) Enjoy your time in Rapture, and thank you for supporting BioShock and the 2K teams.
