2K not doing hockey anymore
2K Games won't be releasing a new hockey game this year.
With EA's abscense in the basketball genre, 2K's franchise already got a big boost and since EA isn't releasing a new one this year either, Take Two COO Karl Slatoff decided to not release a new console version of the NHL series. That way 2K Sports can focus on their basketball series.
NHL 2K10 will therefore remain the last version of the franchise that was released on console up to now. Successor NHL 2K11 was limited to release on Wii and mobile platforms.
