2nd Quake Wars beta, release date announced
Posted on Sunday, 5 August 2007 by Ryuken, source: Splash Damage
Splash Damage has finally put up the second Enemy Territory: Quake Wars online public beta.
It features a lot of improvements and new content so that means that even if you have the older beta installed, you will still need to download the whole package again (your old account/key should still work though). If you don't have an old account then you're out of luck since Fileplanet has only keys for their subscribers now.
Fileplanet has a downloadlink (768 MB), although you can find some (faster) mirrors in this forum thread too.
Also, the release date for the full version has been announced. We lucky Europeans will find it in shops a few days sooner than the yankees; September 28th.

A new map, Valley, which is slightly bigger than Sewer and has four additional GDF vehicles: the Anansi Attack 'Copter, Bumblebee Transport Chopper, the Platypus Assault Boat, and the Mobile Command Post
A LOT of bugfixes and finetuning. This covers most weapons, items, tools, vehicles, deployables, and the user interface, including fixes for uncapped frame-rates, improved server administration functions, interaction with objectives, better weapon spread modifiers, vehicle firing rates, better sniper scopes, more consistency between weapons and their UI components, better fire support, improved deployables, and smaller tweaks like time-stamping for messages from friends, and tweaked special effects.
Improved bots
Improved prediction and player physics, improved vehicle physics and controls (Wohoo!)
Improved interface, improved audio and improved game performance
try it no improvement part from in game
performance.
