2nd Warhammer 40K: DoW expansion in development

After the success of the stand-alone game and the first expansion (Winter Assault) THQ has announced that they are currently working on a new addition for this exillarating RTS game:

"We're extremely proud of the world-wide critical acclaim that the million-unit-selling Dawn of War franchise has received to-date," said Ron Moravek, general manager, Relic Entertainment. "With this latest expansion, we've taken feedback from the players to create a powerful, action-orientated single- and multiplayer experience that is enriched by the quality and depth of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Dawn of War will be forever reforged for the Greater Good!"

The expansion will, among other things, feature an entirely new singleplayer campaign, new multiplayer content and two new playable races among which are the Tau, a technologically advanced civilization. In total you'll get to play an advanced game of cowboys & indians with no less than seven factions.

The expansion pack is due for release in the Autumn of 2006.
