360 is Sold Out!

Posted on Tuesday, 22 November 2005 by AlterEgo, source: Fragland
Everybody will have noticed the frenzy regarding the X-Box 360 over the last few weeks... and finally the long-awaited console was for sale in US stores. Yes: WAS because most stores have gone through their stock in a matter of hours. Microsoft is of course very pleased with this result.

Still, not all is good on Zero Hour Day, as you can read in this Gamespot article: shop lifting, scalping and hours of pointless cueing... but this one really takes the cake:

At the Toys-'R-Us in San Francisco's Richmond district, which quickly ran out of its two-dozen-odd allotment of 360s, a hysterical woman demanded the manager come over to her house on December 25 to explain to her young son why he wasn't getting a Christmas present.

I really don't want to be in his shoes!

but they didn't sell that many....the reason they sold out was because they only gave most shops a handful of consoles. microsoft obviously wanted the "360 sold out" headlines to win over more pathetic gamers who believe all the hype
