Sales figures dont mean a machine is good or bad, people fall for hype too much these days and so many people weather they admit it or not give in to peer pressure, Playstation is a brand name and i have witnessed people read the bad press its been getting and even seen the games and then seen better games on another system but still say they want a PS3 simply because its the PS3.

I can totaly believe X360 out sold PS3, more men have walked on the moon than there was PS3's for sale on launch, i can also believe it out sold Wii since although £129.99 is cheap most kids would have to give up smoking and drinking alcho pops for atleast 2 weeks to get that kind of money together.

Too many people these days are scared to have an opinion that goes against the norm and unfortunatly Sony's Playstation is the norm of the masses when it comes to consoles.

Yes X360 has been out a year and therefore will have a bigger library of games, but PS3 just being launched does not mean they started making games for it two weeks ago, COD3 is on both machines and the X360 version is better (fact), it would've obviously been in development on both machines for the same amount of time.

MS online service is awesome and at the cheap price of £39.99 A YEAR is a bargain(if you cant afford that then you cant afford to be into gaming period), but Sony's is free which is obviously a good sales point unless ofcourse you scratch the surface on both consoles online service and see what your really going to get for your money or what your not going to get for none of your money, for starters there is no such thing as a free lunch and when is anything free any good but hopefully it will get better as i would love to play Tekken 6 online or GT but on decent servers with chat and an easy to use frontend for the online service but at present and i would say not in the near future that isnt going to happen.
Also just because the service is free doesnt mean everything on there is going to be, if you think otherwise then your mad, money is whats its all about.

As for Wii owning both, im surprised you managed to turn your computer on, let alone find this website with all the crack you have obviously been smoking.

Like someone already said, if those people spent their PS3 money on a X360 then they didnt want a PS3 for the right reason or they would've gone home empty handed and waited for more PS3's to be in stock.

Sony counts sold units as units shipped, so they shipped 110,000 million ps2s to shelves, but 40 mil are just sitting there. Just look at there psp "claimed" sales, the system is a complete flop yet they say otherwise. Meanwhile DS sells every 2 seconds (that is the actuall rate), and has sole more than ipods. While the no power cheaper thing worked for the portable market (historically its always this way see "game genie") it probally wont be as effective in home consoles. I agree though that if you want an effing media center, use your pc, not your ps3. Sony priced it way to high

Meow. I'm buying a wii. xbox only has halo to hold on to, and ps3 is trying to be a super computer. they also both make millions of similar FPS games, that are complete shit. wii has diverse games, whereas ps3 n xbox are only going for people who love shootin the crap outta each other.
