360's with 65nm CPU coming up
The author of "The Xbox Uncloaked" claims that Microsoft is busy working on Falcon, a 360 with smaller, cheaper and more reliable chips.
Although Microsoft is trying to keep the lid on its plans to change the inside of the console, journalist Dean Takahashi found out that the giant is almost ready to produce Falcon. This would mean that the new version would be in stores by this fall while for the average consumer there will be no changes.
The advantage of the smaller chips, however, is that the costs will drop as well as the heat exhaust so that less problems should occur and there's more room for price drops. Microsoft's comment, however, is pretty well-known:
