3DF/X Stuff

Lots of news on 3DF/X is surfacing these days.
Here's a round-up :
3DHardware spoke with Thomas Tsui, the marketing director of multimedia group at SiS and Scott Herrington the acting executive producer at Turbine Entertainment Software[BLOCK]SH: It'll probably mean the end of the 3Dfx chipset in the long term. They may keep the label as the 'value' brand graphics card for under $150, but that's all I can really see them doing with it. nVidia's latest products had such an advantage in the high-end that it wasn't even funny, but 3Dfx owned the entry level and OEM market and still has great brand name recognition. It was probably easier for nVidia to buy 3Dfx than pay for all the ongoing legal fees due to the pending suits between the two companies!

TT: We think that all 3DFX's technology will be murged into nVidia's product, therefore, there won't be any new chip or technology called 3DFX. There might have some auguement inside nVidia as to whose technology is better when they are trying to select the key features or decide which design team take which project. The origin 3DFX's team might be in a weak position then
[/BLOCK]PlanetGeforce is reporting that there are leaked Detonator drivers with HSR (Hidden Surface Removal)
Gamersdepot spoke with 3DF/X Scott Taylor, the Director of Corporate Marketing[BLOCK]Scott: We’ve sold certain specified assets to nVIDIA, however we’ve retained our board business. That said, 3dfx has recommended to our shareholders to dissolve the company. [/BLOCK]
