5/10 NWN2 review removed at 1Up
It's always a bit funny to see how even the big, "professional" sites can have problems checking their reviews. This time it's 1Up, the site that takes over the articles from Computer Gaming World (now known as Games for Windows) and EGM.
The problem case is an early Neverwinter Nights 2 review with a score of 5.10 and a content that more takes a stand against the D&D game rules than that there's something written about the game itself. It's been removed already but you can check the original version on the official NWN2-forums.
1Up of course apologised for this inconvenience and they've declared that another person, this time probably with some more appreciation for the D&D-RPG's overall, will make a new one. Even head guru Jeff Green strikes a mea culpa in his blog and says he should have done his job as editor better.
Soon you'll see a review of NWN2 arriving on Fragland also of course :)
Edit by Speed: and similarly, I had to translate this post about an hour after it got online as our news poster Ryuken decided it would be a good idea to put it in Dutch on Fragland.net ;)

You must put yourself in place of 'mister everybody'. And judge what you see and what you feel.
Certainly, people playing D&D table games will love NWN2. But that's a small part of a computers magazine readers. For the other part of readers, the biggest one, this game just doesn't deserve more than a 5/10.
:(
P.S. : That's my opinion, no need to insult me or such :)
