GamesIndustry.biz lets us know that according to *takes a deep breath* the Data Center of the China Internet and Internet Society of China there will be about 59 million Chinese gamers online in 2008. This would be about 20 percent more than the estimated number last year. Then there were 48 million Chinese gamers trying to kill each other online.

The investigation started in January 2007 and in total they questioned 300 websites, 270 companies and 50,786 persons. They expect that free-to-play online game services will dominate the market with an estimated market share of 80 percent.
