But unfortunately we have to wait a while untill they release it! Bungie has announced through 1up that they will be announcing more interesting facts about this triple-A title very soon.
No need to get your hopes up for a beta announcement so leave Crackdown in the box for the moment.
Halo 3, who doesn't want it!
Frankie at Bungie is quick to point out that news on the long-anticipated Halo 3 public beta will be coming "fairly soon," so temper expectations in that area, as that's probably not on the horizon for a few weeks yet. Between now and the beta, Bungie will be distributing a new behind-the-scenes video with footage sucked from the Alpha version of the game -- the multiplayer beta will actually be based on the more advanced, more complete Beta.
What's mysterious, however, is the note Frankie leaves the latest update on:
"So yeah. Big changes coming. Big changes and big news. Next week [meaning this week, as the update went live last Friday] is going to be significant.

Not really cause I won't be able to participate, so I won't be able to gain much knowlede from it. The only info i'll get is from reviews and those will probably happen near the end of the beta,

ERM!! so why you reading this then derf.
You make a point of stating that you dont own a console and that the info which vexxed offered you was of no help cos you wont be participating in this beta.
So to clarify, you dont own a console and the beta being out on the 16th is of no interest to you, tell me again why your posting in a Halo 3 beta topic then and then having a little dig at someone when they try and offer you the info that Fragland could not, seems a bit unecessarily snobby and arrogant to me.
Just an observation though.
