A safari adventure game on your PC

Posted on Sunday, 26 June 2005 by Roman, source: Fragland
Digital Jesters announced the development of a - and I kid you not - Safari Adventure Game.

Wild Earth will take you on a journey through the African Wildlife based on the Serengeti National Park. The objective is to make photographs of the wildlife and at the end you’ll be rewarded with a generated html-article which you can read and/or save.

Digital Jesters is confident that the original gameplay combined with the stunning graphics will appeal to a large audience and make the game a success.

The release date is set in late 2005.

Features
• Accurate and beautifully recreated wildlife including elephants, cheetahs, lions, crocodiles and more
• Simulated weather conditions – (racing clouds, rainfall, dust devils, thunder storms)
• Immersive 3D environments (open plains, rocky outcrops, lakes, streams etc)
• Diverse missions including specific night-time challenges, wild animal tracking and exploration of the Serengeti terrain
• Stirring soundtrack created by world music label Talking Drum Records
• Creative game design; players are encouraged to practice and develop photography skills
• Differing skill levels for more advanced photography challenges
• Personalised gameplay utilising players photographs in html articles
• Non-violent family oriented gameplay mechanic with mass market appeal

It does look good, but come on, there has to be more to do in the game other than taking pictures.
