ATi R360 speeds revealed
Xbit Labs got hold of the core and memory speeds of ATi's R360 graphics core. This chipset, a boosted version of the R350 on which the 9800pro was based, should give them back the lead in the business long enough untill they can unleach their next-gen card (R420).
So they boosted up things a bit which gave a bigger heat output so they had to redesign the cooling system. Also notice they went back to DDRI in favour of the newer DDRII which gave almost no performance gain. However, some lower-end cards will have GDDRII memory which ATi has co-designed.
Core: clocked at 450 mhz
Memory: 128 or 256 megabytes of 256-bit DDRI SDRAM clocked at 780 mhz
Cooling: redesigned and custom build ultra silent
Features: untouched
