Ace of Angels Preview

Gamerspulse posted a new preview on Ace of Angels[BLOCK]The second stage of development will be the Outerchange; this is where the game takes a major turn from the norm in the form of lasting effects. The Outerchange brings structure to the game: organized squadron missions, a credit system, squadron bases and assets, and capital ships are a few of the elements that add girth. The lasting effects come from the ability to ignore your orders, have structures of your own, and the opportunity to form enemies. Flight Sim games in the pre-Internet world consisted of A and B decisions, either in cut scenes between the actions or by winning or losing a mission. In AoA, your decisions are only limited to your imagination. This comes from the designers being constantly involved in the gameplay. The game, the missions, the excitement will all be based on the fact that everything counts and the computer is not the only interested party. Take for example your favorite RPG; if you kill a town full of people, the next day they reappear and resume business as usual. If you destroy a village (no I don’t think there are actually villages, but I could be wrong) in AoA, the next day they will still be space dust. You will have made a lasting impression. [/BLOCK]
