Activision Q1 results: profits doubled and revenue up
Activision - Blizzard has revealed its financials for the first quarter of 2010 and things seem to still look pretty good.
The publisher reported a profit of $381 million which is a lot more than the same period last year when profit was "only" at $189 million. Meanwhile, revenue was up as well, going from $981 million last year to $1.3 billion in 2001.
The biggest reason for the increase in both profit and revenue was the Stimulus Package for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which sold 1 million copies on March 30 and generated approximately $10.5 million for Activision in a single day.
