Activision acquires Guitar Hero publisher

Working with EA means that you can expect to be bought at some moment but it seems other publishers are taking over this way of working.

Activision has sent out word that they've signed an agreement with RedOctane, publishers of Guitar Hero, to completely acquire the studio

Underscoring its commitment to broaden its product portfolio and deliver compelling entertainment experiences to consumers worldwide, Activision, Inc. announced today that it has entered into an agreement to acquire video game publisher RedOctane, Inc. the publisher of the popular Guitar Hero franchise.
