Age of Conan gets a trial
One of the reasons it has taken this long for the game to receive a trial can probably be attributed to the very succesful launch of the game. With 1.2 Million copies sold worldwide the RPG managed to slide into a third spot in the charts of "Games sold the most" in Amerika in 2008. Exactly why they are launching the trial now is explained by Morten Larssen, Funcom's Sales and Marketing VP:
There is a world of gamers out there who have never played ‘Age of Conan’ and we want them to experience what hundreds of thousands of gamers have before them. The game has matured tremendously since launch, and we feel confident that this is the time to launch a trial.
Just as in other MMO's that offer a trial, players will get the opportunity to test the game for a short while. Interested players can surf to the trial's site via this link. Depending on which site the player has registered at and downloaded the trial from one can expect the trial to last 7 or 14 days. So if you haven't tried the game yet, this is an excellent opportunity for that!
