Aion: The Tower of Eternity, the new and upcoming MMORPG of NCsoft is getting a Limited Collector's Edition like so many other recent games. This special edition will of course be stuffed with tons of ingame and real life goodies.

The price of the limited edition will be 69.99 €, while the normal version will cost the buyer 49.99 €. Both versions will be available for pre-order in retail stores June 9th. A release of the game should happen in final months of 2009.

The Aion Limited Collector’s Edition will sell at an anticipated price of 69.99 € (US$69.99/£54.99), while Aion’s standard edition will sell at an anticipated price of 49.99 € (US$49.99/£34.99). Both retail packages include 30 days of game time. After 30 days, a monthly subscription fee of 12.99 € (US$14.99/£8.99) for the game service will apply. Other pricing options will also be available. Pre-order purchases, available at retail stores June 9th, can be applied to the Limited Collector’s Edition or the standard edition of Aion. Be sure to know that details about pre-order benefits and subscription pricing options for Aion will be announced at a later date.
The special edition will include a 6.5 inch statue of an Asmodian, exclusive ingame items which give a boost to the character, a soundtrack and many other things. Below you can find a summary of the extras, while on this page you'll find more information about each bonus.

* 6.5"-tall, hand-painted figurine of Aiva, a winged Asmodian Daeva
* Exclusive in-game items, including:
* Black Cloud Wings (gives 40 seconds of additional flight time)
* Black Cloud Earring (gives an HP and an MP boost)
* Special character title with stat boost
* Color dye to tint one in-game item
* Two character emotes
* Official Aion soundtrack CD
* Two dual-sided, full-color posters
* Full-color, trifold quick reference card
* Two game DVDs
* Game manual
* First 30 days of gameplay
I have no problem that they add ingame items to the special edition, but what i don't really like is when those items alter the gameplay for certain players :)
