All Borderlands weapons will be scrapped in the sequel
The guys from PC Gamer have taken a look at the GameInformer reveal story for Gearbox Software's Borderlands 2 and found a couple of interesting facts.
First of all, the weapons from the original game will all be scrapped:
One of those is “Gunzerker” who can dual wield any weapon and improve his abilities using the skill tree of the first game. He'll can choose from a wider selection of vehicles (ie: more than one) and use the new currency, Eridium, to buy new items or upgrade his armoury.
Finally, the devs also promise greatly improved enemy AI and more varied environments, as well as the return of Claptrap.
First of all, the weapons from the original game will all be scrapped:
The randomly generated guns of the first game gave rise to thousands of mad scope/ammo/manufacturer combinations. New manufacturers will bring their own visual twists to each weapon, and players will now be able to add custom decals and enhancements to their favourite pieces.
The playable heroes from the original game will return, but as NPCs, while we get to play with four new heroes.
