Dont get me wrong, ive got a PS3 and i think its a nice console but i dont really think that this launch line is anything to shout about and i wouldnt be excited if i had gone out at midnight last night or rushed out today to get a european PS3, the X360's launch line up was way better but didnt have so many games.

Games available at launch:

* Resistance: Fall of Man (Sony) - Okay but nothing special, would only be considered amazing if you hadnt had access to the massive amount of great FPS games on the X360 of which the X360 has loads of FPS's way better than this.

* MotorStorm (Sony) Stunning, nothing short of stunning but the only game that i think deserves the praise.

* Genji: Days of the Blade (Sony) Utter utter crap

* Formula One Championship Edition (Sony) Great if you like formula 1, probably the only exclusive to make people drool.

* Ridge Racer 7 (Sony) Nice game but not a big enough leap from the X360 version to warrant a second purchase unless your Ridge mad, also dont think that Ridge holds anywhere near the same amount of weight as it used to.

* Call of Duty 3 (Activision) Better on the X360

* Marvel: Ultimate Alliance (Activision) Been on the X360 for ages.

* Tony Hawk's Project 8 (Activision) Better on the X360

* Gundam: Target in Sight (Namco Bandai) Utter utter crap.

* Full Auto 2: Battle Lines (SEGA) Average game but this is not worthy of being called a sequel, its Full Auto with nobs on which was released ages ago on the X360 to a not very good reception.

* Sonic the Hedgehog (SEGA) Utter utter crap

* Virtua Fighter 5 (SEGA) Nice looking but not much better to look at than DOA4 if any better at all, only for VF fans i think.

* Virtua Tennis 3 (SEGA) Not a patch on the original and has no online play unlike the X360 version which has full Xboxlive support.

* World Snooker Championship 2007 (SEGA) Not the type of game that people run out and buy.

* NHL 2K7 (2K Sports) Not the type of game that people run out and buy.

* Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII (Ubisoft) Out ages ago on the X360 and not that great anyway.

* Enchanted Arms (Ubisoft) Again out ages ago on the X360.

* Def Jam: Icon (EA) Out on both X360 and PS3.

* Fight Night Round 3 (EA) Out mega ages ago on X360.

* NBA Street Homecourt (EA) Out on both.

* Need For Speed Carbon (EA) Again out ages ago on the X360.

* The Godfather: The Don's Edition (EA) Well old and well crap.

* Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 (EA) Out on every other platform known to man.

The below are all little dity games just like Xboxlive arcade, although both Sony and MS offer some good little games they are hardly the reason to choose one machine over another.

* Tekken: Dark Resurrection (PlayStation Network)
* Blast Factor (PlayStation Network)
* Lemmings (PlayStation Network)
* Gran Turismo HD Concept (PlayStation Network)

I'd love to see what the PS3 will come up with in the future but the here and now seems just pointless, if you have a X360 and want a PS3 aswell then im sure you will have some fun with it just as i have with Motor Storm on and offline but if you dont have a X360 then there is no way i would get a PS3 and have it as my main console and not own a X360 aswell.

In my eyes its either both or an X360, im not putting the Wii or PC in there because i dont think they are directly competing with the X360 or PS3.

If you have a PS2 and never had an Xbox or X360 and are going straight to the PS3, well then your just a mug.

Also Sony dont have the exclusives anymore, DMC4 will be on X360 at the same time and the new FF is no longer a Sony exclusive, Gran Turismo will obviously only be a Playstation game but thats it, MGS4 is kinda in the air aswell as far as it only being on the PS3, my moneys on it coming to X360 and the worst case senario being that it comes a little later than the PS3 version.

GTA4 was in my eyes the biggest exclusive Sony have ever lost and it coming to both machines simultaniously is a real kick in the arse for Sony i think.

They certainly have their work cut out and its going to be a very interesting year and i think as far as games go its going to be the biggest year for gaming in ages which is only a good thing for gamers, practically every major gaming franchise is getting its latest version released this year.
