Gamers will take the normal Doom role of a soldier-type taken to a research facility on Mars. This facility appears to be the property of the Union Aerospace Corporation; a conglomerate with facilities on the red planet and its two mysterious moons, Phobos and Deimos. Several top-secret experiments are being conducted by the UAC, one of them being inter-dimensional space travel. The UAC claims its scientists have made discoveries that will forever change human existence. They couldn’t be further from the truth.

In the Delta Complex, teleportation experiments have been conducted with mixed results. The initial experiments had small objects dematerializing at the Delta Complex and reconstructed in the two satellites facilities (think of The Fly). After these successful achievements, testing with animals and humans began, but it seems something has gone terribly wrong. Doesn’t it always?
