The United States' Army recruitment poster America's Army is slated to get a new upgrade. Rather than a patch this new version of the game will implement a whole new Unreal Engine 3.0 based graphics engine.

America's Army costs 22,3 million euros
America's Army is a free game that the American government releases as a way for them to recruit new soldiers for the military.
When development started in 2000, a budget of 4,76 million euros was foreseen for a period of five years. However, two years later the budget was already completely used up and Gamespot has now received information that up to this moment the US government has spent no less than 22,3 million euros on it.
Eventhough a lot more money has gone into the project than budgetted, the US don't want to stop with the game. It appears to be the most efficient way to recruit people.
