Anarchy Online: Shadowlands has gone gold !
Oslo, Norway-July 30, 2003 - Shadowlands, the highly anticipated
expansion pack for Funcom's award-winning massively multiplayer online
game Anarchy Online, has gone gold. Shadowlands nearly doubles the
current content in Anarchy Online, setting a new benchmark for MMO
expansion packs.
"We know we have created something truly unique," said Game Director
Gaute Godager. "Shadowlands takes Anarchy Online to a whole new level.
With highly innovative features, a magical ambience and a creative
universe without boundaries, we are sure that both new and existing
players will find a deeply involving online gaming experience".
As the dark past of Rubi-Ka is revealed, the players enter a strange,
alien world spanning seven distinct geographical themes across 20+
gigantic playfields. Shadowlands takes the players on an incredible
journey through the realm of mankind's ancient ancestors, and into the
cradle of human civilization.
The elaborate feature-set of Shadowlands has created a collective buzz
among the PC gaming press. Shadowlands was awarded "E3 2003 Expansion
Pack of the Show" by IGN who exclaimed "it almost seems like a whole new
game". Equally impressive previews in numerous media have dominated the
countdown to launch.
