Angel Munoz on Gateway Country Challenge

The Adrenaline Vault spoke with CPL head-honcho Angel Munoz about the upcoming Gateway Country Challenge where gamers will battle each other in a game of Midtown Madness 2 which is quite different from what the CPL used to do, since this will be the first tournament ever that will not have a first person shooter as the main competition game.[BLOCK]Several reasons: First, driving is natural to most people, so a racing game in a familiar city environment was very compelling. We also wanted a racing game where the differential between actual lap times and lap times recorded would not vary more that 3/100th of a second; this gives us very accurate scoring. But most of all, we wanted a game where racing was presented in a casual manner--not a high pressure racing track, but a fun race through San Francisco. Of course, Microsoft kindly offered us advance copies of the game that the entire CPL team tested before the final decision was entered[/BLOCK]
