Another MS exec leaves for EA
Guys in suits sure move around a lot!
For those that don't know the guy, John Shappert up to now was the corporate vice president of Xbox Live software and services. He was also the guy who did the Microsoft E3 presentation this year.
Before moving to Microsoft, he founded Tiburon in 1994 which he sold off to EA to become COO at the publisher. Now he returns back to EA to take on his former role there and report directly to CEO John Riccitiello. Schappert will be replacing John Pleasants who decided to leave EA and become CEO of MySpace development studio Playdom when he heard Schappert would take over his role.
EA of course welcomed him with open hands while Microsoft has issued a statement that Schappert will not be replaced.
