ArmA II website launched
505 Games and Bohemia Interactive have launched a website for their upcoming game, ArmA II. Amongst others the site should keep the interested fan happy with information about features, units and a general release date in Q1 2009.
Developer Bohemia Interactive, a seasoned veteran in the tactical shooter genre, sees this as an opportunity to reach out to their dedicated fanbase:
“For us the website serves not only as a way to reveal more information about the game, but also as yet another demonstration of our respect for the large and dedicated Bohemia Interactive fanbase,” said Jan Prazak, PR Manager, Bohemia Interactive. “We have one of the most committed online communities out there and we think it’s important to provide them with top-notch customer care.”
Building on their previous experiences, Bohemia Interactive is almost sure to improve on their ultra-realistic ArmA. A thought backed by the fact armies across the world use the game engine powering ArmA II to prepare their troops in simulation.
It will be interesting to see how ArmA II will compare to Operation Flashpoint 2, another tactical shooter, set for release in 2009. Especially considering both games share the same roots.
