Atari gets a new CEO

Posted on Saturday, 25 December 2010 by Speed, source: Gamasutra
Atari just announced Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale but that's not all they have when it comes to end-of-the-year announcements: they've got a new CEO as well.

Seems that current big boss Jeff Lapin is leaving, with his deputy Jim Wilson taking over. Atari claims Lapin's replacement is "part of the next phase of Atari's repositioning".
"Jim has the board's full support as he continues to drive new goals of growth and success," says board chairman Frank Dangeard. "At the end of Jeff's mandates, Atari is better positioned as we enter the next strategic phase of our plan."
Lapin himself, previously on board with Take Two, doesn't seem all too concerned about leaving the company as he said the following:
"[My time at Atari] was one of the most rewarding periods in my career."

"With Jim Wilson's leadership and management skills, Atari is well positioned for the future. I wish Atari and its employees great success,"
