Sony Computer Entertainment have announced a pretty exclusive deal with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to release a game containing several Olympic disciplines. Is this news? Well, this could be a pretty big title and the fact that Sony has the rights, means that it's going to be a Playstation2 exclusive.


The game will feature seven Olympic venues:

• the Markopoulo Olympic Shooting Centre
• the Olympic Aquatic Centre
• the Olympic Stadium for Athletics
• the Nikaia Olympic Weightlifting Hall
• the Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Centre
• the Olympic Indoor Hall for Gymnastics
• the Panathinaiko Stadium for Archery

That means that players will be able to play sports like:

• track and field
• gymnastics
• equestrian
• archery
• weightlifting
• aquatics

and it wouldn't be a game without...
• shooting

So this is going to be the only officially licensed Olympic game... then I guess the imporant question is the question if this Athens 2004 will deserve to win a gold medal ?
