Aussies get PS3 "Value Pack"
Over at Gamespot is word that Sony has decided to release a PS3 Value Pack in Australia.
Can someone tell me where the "Value" in that is? $879 for roughly the same as the European PS3 which is sold for €599 doesn't really seem as value. Guess Australians get even more screwed by Sony that Europeans...
Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 value pack will be coming to Australia on August 2 for A$999 ($879). The announcement came at a PlayStation Australia media event held in Sydney last night.
The starter pack contains a 60GB PlayStation 3 console, two Sixaxis controllers, Resistance: Fall of Man, and MotorStorm--both of which have sold over a million units globally. No announcement about whether the 80GB PlayStation 3 will make it to Australia was made.

Which atm is pissing me off in a not console related problem. I'm getting a Macbook before I get to uni, and they cost 1100 Euros or so here (entry level), while in the US they're under 800. Damn you european taxes!
