Axl Rose vs Activision regarding Slash
Guns ‘n’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has filed a suit against Activision for a claim of no less than 20 million dollars based on the fact that the publisher hadn't received permission to use Slash in a Guitar Hero game.
The singer feels that Acti has violated their deal by using images of the guitar player while at the same time the song "Welcome to the Jungle" was present in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.
Reuters is reporting how Axl Rose and Black Frog Music claim Activision fraudulously convinced them to approve the track by promising the former band member wouldn't be present, nor that there would be any reference to his later band, Velvet Revolver.
They describe it as “spinning a web of lies and deception to conceal its true intentions to not only feature Slash and VR prominently in GH III, but also promote the game by emphasizing and reinforcing an association between Slash and Guns N Roses and the band’s song Welcome to the Jungle”.
In the meantime, we're already with Warriors of Rock, but it seems the guy is running behind with almost everything these days.
