Banjo Kazooie issue with SD TV won't be fixed
People with standard-def TV's are screwed and Microsoft couldn't care less it seems.
So what's it all about? Well, it seems that Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is displaying rather unclear text when played on a standard definition TV. Rare's community manager has since discovery of the issue stated that despite the fact that it's a problem, they won't be fixing it.
Meanwhile, things become even more grimm as CVG is reporting that Xbox Live Arcade games have to be playable on a 14" SDTV and that also includes readable text.
Microsoft having two sets of standards, one for other companies and one for their own first-party titles? Certainly seems so!
(and don't start nagging that BK isn't an XBLA game, those games are supposed to have LOWER standards than games that are sold at full price in retail stores!)

Unfortunately, this is an issue that doesn't look like it will get changed. I don't want to bore you with the technical side of things (I really don't understand it all myself), but the long and the short of it is that the text you see in the demo will be the same as that which you find in the retail version of the game.
I'm sorry that we weren't able to address this issue as nothing would please us more than turning all your complaints into gleeful responses, but it's simply something that's too expensive in terms of time, resources and money to alter.
Please don't kill me. This *doesn't* mean we don't care about or respect the community. This *does* mean that, when all's said and done, we're only human
Human indeed, just like all those humans that don't have a Hi-def TV set cause they can't or don't want to pay for that. Guess Rare and Microsoft don't care about that, just as long as they get enough profit (= money) themselves.I'm sorry that we weren't able to address this issue as nothing would please us more than turning all your complaints into gleeful responses, but it's simply something that's too expensive in terms of time, resources and money to alter.
