Battlefield 1943 PC is vaporware?
Electronic Arts at one point had stated that Digital Illusions' Battlefield 1943 for PC would be released a bit after the console launch. However, delay after delay arrived and the latest release date that was given was July 9th this year.
We're now August 1st and the game is nowhere to be seen. In fact, Electronic Arts has even updated the release date on its site as "TBD".
As a result, one of the readers of Examiner decided to contact EA Customer support where he got the message that they had no clue when the game would finally arrive and that he could cancel his preorder and get a full refund.
Another representative from the publisher had the following to say:

We've had an interesting email dialog today with Taylor, one of our readers who preordered the title in March. Taylor was just given a no-questions-asked refund by EA Customer Service. The support representative confirmed over the phone that he did not have a release date for the game, and that it would be easier to simply issue a refund.
Electronic Arts meanwhile has issued an official statement, saying "Battlefield 1943 is not canceled, but we don't have any news about a release date at this time."Another representative from the publisher had the following to say:
“All pre-orders can be canceled with refund at anytime and we do not have any further information at this time about a release date for the PC version of Battlefield 1943.”
Doesn't sound all too good, does it?In other news:
