Battlefield 2 delayed

Digital Illusions have posted their financial results but the more interesting bit comes a little lower on the same page : Battlefield 2 has been delayed until June 2005.

At least two game releases are planned for 2005 – Battlefield 2 for PC and Battlefield Modern Combat for Xbox, Playstation 2 and Microsoft's forthcoming platform.

The release date of Battlefield 2 has now been set to June 2005. This implies that Digital Illusions will not be making any game releases in the first quarter of the current year.

I'm sure a lot of you can't wait to get your hands on this game and our very own DoubleD is one of them. You may cry now DD ;)

FFS this news has really pi**ed me off big time first GR2 on the PC gets delayed now this. It is not like there is any really good reason to delay it. It's like HL2 all over again. (well maybe not that bad "YET" but remember you read it here first)

Never mind, Brothers in Arms is coming our way in a few weeks. It'll be a whole lot better dan BF2. Except for nice graphics, BF2 has nothing new to offer and in my opinion will not be able to stand out as much as some people expect.
And yes, I've been to E3 too last year, I've seen all the movies and what not, and no, I'm not impressed except for the nice graphics.

Still!! It will blow you away of how much better it has gotten. It's like Battlefield Vietnam, Counter-Strike: Source, and Call of Duty (Modernized) all in one. It will be the best game of the year AGAIN, I'll promise you that! Too many people are going to have it once it comes out that they have to name it the best a week after it's depute!!
